Xue (the point)

The point is where qi carried down the ridge settles instead of running on; it is what the form school is ultimately looking for. On the same slope, a position off the point is held to receive only passing qi, so fixing the location is treated as decisive work. In a city the ridges cannot be read directly, so practice substitutes the relation between where the building stands and the features around it — which is how MYEONG's form scan works too.
