An Shan (table hill)
The low hill facing the site, like a desk set before it.
The table hill sits low across the front of the point — the name says desk, and a desk's height is the measure. Too high and it presses on the frontage; too low or absent and qi scatters instead of settling. The further range beyond it is distinguished as the court hill (Chao Shan).
