Four Pillars of Destiny · 四柱
Bazi Structures (格局)
In short
The structure (格局) is the governing pattern of a Four Pillars chart — the dominant star around which the chart organizes, and the strongest single clue to a person’s calling and character. Each structure is named for the Ten God that sets it.

A summary of the current calculation method. Read from top to bottom; when a stage meets its conditions, its structure is selected. This is neither a ranking of structures nor a personal result.
- Transformation: check the Day Master's stem combination with the month or hour stem; the transformed element must reach 40%.
- If no transformation applies, check following structures: strength and element concentration, with dominant support for the strong forms, or scarce support, an unsupportive month and no supporting non-day stems for the weak forms.
- Otherwise use an ordinary structure: derive the Ten God of the month branch's primary hidden stem relative to the Day Master.
- If that Ten God is Companion, check month → hour → year stems for the first non-Companion Ten God. If all are Companion, retain the primary hidden stem's Ten God.
